With the advent of new information appliance times, embedded operating systems have gradually become significant. The embedded operating systems, which run on the resource-limited mobile devices and appliance, provide and support various applications for the consumers. Especially in the mobile phone development, the Java technique offers the users many kinds of application services. This trend is still going on, which will make Java the genuine network language running on all the devices. This paper introduces the CAR (Component Application Runtime) based mobile phone operating system ElaME (Elastos Mobile Edition), and discusses the KVM porting on the ElaME.
