I just set up my iCloud account. I have two iPhones: an IP4s issued by my job, and my personal IP4.

I've been syncing my work IP with my work PC, and my personal IP with my home PC. The two phones are configured differently (they have different apps, numbers, emails, contacts, etc.). My work IP uses Outlook; my personal IP does not. I've been using the same iTunes account for both phones. So far, this hasn't been a problem.

Ideally, I'd like to use the same iCloud account to back up both devices, but I'm getting the impression that this can't be done. Is this possible? If not, can I set up multiple iCloud accounts with the same email address? The more I read, the more confused I'm getting.

You can back up both phones to the same iCloud account with no problems at all. Turn it on in the Settings app> iCloud> Storage and Backup settings and away you go.

What you can't do is sync the contacts, calendars, reminders, bookmarks and notes without merging your data. This is not a required part of iCloud, though, and is not required to back up the phones to the same account. You would pick whether to sync this data between the home PC and personal phone or between the work PC and work phone but you couldn't have iCloud syncing for both with the same account.

You can share your iCloud account among 10 devices (5 iOS devices) the drawback is that you only get the 5GB of space for free among all devices. Multiple backup's shouldn't be a problem as long as you have the space.
