how to pass array of data of same type in makeHttpRequest(url,“POST”,params) method?

I have made an application in android to update the attendance of all the student using JSON,php,MYSQL. When i pass single value it works but i want to pass attendance of all the student which is stored in an array called String[] values. How to do it i an unable to do it.
